LE CHAI
A beautifully restored new for 2006 season Charentais Chai ( wine store ), set in a delightful small hamlet close to the market town of Gemozac. The Gite stands alone with its own private garden and fully fenced swimming pool within the grounds of the main house and is surrounded by vines sunflowers and cereal crops.
Gemozac is close to the ancient towns of Cognac and Saintes in the heart of the Charente Maritime and yet but a short drive to the beautiful unspoilt beaches of Royan and St Georges de Didonne. The main Autoroute A10 junction 36 is just minutes east.
The Gite which is heated for the low season period, sleeps from 2 to 7 persons in comfort. One unique feature is the oak beamed sitting room with comfortable sofas, there are also of course a TV and DVD plus selection of books and games, the sitting room leads directly onto the private terrace ideal for summer dining and on to the enclosed swimming pool.
The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with all new appliances including microwave, refrigerator and full sized gas cooker for cooking those wonderful French dishes after visiting one of the many local markets. The three comfortable bedrooms offer great flexibility including one with a double bed, a twin bedded room and also one with a single bed and bunks. The bathroom which includes a bath, shower, basin and toilet is ideal for families plus there is also a further shower room with additional basin and toilet.

The delightful well kept garden has a patio and bbq area with tables and chairs, the swimming pool which is 8m x 4m meets all the very stringent French legal requirements.
All linen supplied except beach towels.
Regretfully the Gite is totally non smoking and pets are not permitted at any time.
